Historic Rock Hill Announces “Tap the Rock”
Rare Beers, World-Class and local Craft Breweries are coming to Historic Rock Hill’s Craft Beer Festival on September 24, 2016
ROCK HILL, SC, July 28, 2016 –– Historic Rock Hill is brewing some fun for Rock Hill’s first largest single-day craft beer festival.
Presented by Historic Rock Hill and the Main Street Bottle Shop in Rock Hill, the first annual TAP THE ROCK craft beer fest will bring together more than 30 craft breweries and attract hundreds of beer enthusiasts to celebrate their common love of craft beer on Saturday, September 24 from 1-5p.m on the grounds of the historic White Home (VIP section opens at noon). TAP THE ROCK will showcase interesting & unique craft beers for all to sample – featuring rare beers made specially for festival VIP’s. Food trucks will also be onsite serving up some of the South’s tastiest savory fare and the festival will feature live music.
“The craft beer craze is exploding in the two Carolinas”, stated Chip Hutchison, Historic Rock Hill Board Member and Chair of the festival planning committee. “I love craft beer and I love Rock Hill. So, I cannot be more excited that Tap the Rock will introduce a whole new generation to our mission of restoring and preserving our community’s precious history. Most importantly, we will have the opportunity to showcase Historic Rock Hill’s largest restoration project to-date by hosting the event right on the grounds of the historic White Home!”
Each general admission ticket includes admittance to the craft beer sampling area, where guests will use their commemorative festival sampling glass to taste craft beer from some of the best craft breweries in the country. VIP tickets are also available, which includes early admission into the festival at noon, access to the private VIP beer garden and indoor restrooms, a catered lunch on the lawn provided by Legal Remedy, exclusive rare beer tastings, and a guided tour of the White Home.
